A furloughed group of event organisers, local to Chiswick House & Grounds, often escaped to the landscaped gardens, picturesque setting and tranquility the venue offered during lockdown to break away from the groundhog day living in the same 4 walls that we’ve all become ascutomed to of late. 

We heard how Chiswick House & Gardens were suffering financially due to Covid, and there was risk to jobs and caretakers who looked after what became a place many  1000s of locals escaped to. So we decided to help, and put our event management skills to good use.

During the Summer of 2020, the Chiswick Festival team invented a new, pioneering Covid Secure Event concept – where we successfully delivered evenings of jazz, opera and rock, to comedy and bingo nights. We staged 21 nights of entertainment and safely entertained over 5,000 visitors – making us one of the few event organisers safely hosting Covid Secure Events.

And now we’re back!

Join us for a celebration of music, comedy with food and drink from around the world, supporting our local caterers and bands, whilst bringing everyone together.

Experience great dishes from a variety of food stands – from healthy wraps and vegan dishes to Tex Mex and Pulled Meat. All whilst you’ll be entertained by bands, DJs, & comedians.

The first hour you’ll be able to enjoy grazing tapas-style food, from local restaurants and caterers, listening to DJ’s playing eclectic music in the background, before you watch a comedy act or band for an hour, then you can enjoy more food and drink for another hour before the main act in the last hour closes the session.

– arrive and be seated at your table (1st hour), enjoy background music whilst grazing on food from local caterers & drinks from our bar

– an hour into the event, sit back and relax with a comedy set or band on stage for about an hour

– enjoy another 45 mins or so of background music by a DJ whilst the main band gets set up

– The final hour you’ll be entertained by a main act (ABBA, Queen, Bootlet Beatles etc)

Tapas Style – All Dishes £5

Instead of one big dish; all our caterers will be offering smaller dishes, with everything priced at just £5.00. Meaning you’ll be able to enjoy more, different cuisines and graze for a few hours before the main act.

Sensible portions at sensible prices, so we can spread the love between all the caterers on site.

Covid Secure.

Chiswick Festival 2021 sees everyone with their own tables and chairs this year; that will all have been santised before your arrival. With this in mind, the spacing between tables, the fact drinks and food will be brought to you, coupled with our policies, we’re making the event very safe for everyone attending, both guests and our associates.

All national and local guidelines are being followed where we’re working closely with local authorities to ensure we reduce all risks, and make sure you all have a good, but safe time.
